Status

The site has reached the second phasis: reporting is working, analysis is working, we can now rate part of the component types and a search page is in place. We need help to validate that this is working correctly on the maximum of hardware and Linux flavors.

  • Released collector v0.10.0:
    • Create a cron entry to periodically send a report in an anonymous way. It is sent only when something has changed. This is put in the lsb-hardware4linux-collector-auto. Put a curl binary in the package as curl isn't part of LSB. The idea is to try to profile the hardware usage under Linux. Linux distributions without a hardware compatibility list can also install this package to create one on the site.
    • Report locales.
    • Install hwreport in sbin to reflect the fact that it must be run as root.
