There is no support for this card (BCM4328) in the mainline Linux kernel, therefore I one has to install NDISwrapper to make use of it. Hopefully support for it will be added to the b43 driver soon.

Using OpenGL crashes the app

Using flgrx. Adding TerminateServer=true in /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc seemed to resolve some crashes. Goes in the Core section.

options snd-hda-intel model=acer
to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa to get sound working after suspend.

Works perfect.

Had to manually load soundfonts with sfxload at boot for MIDI, but works fine otherwise.

Installed the “NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 173.14.12” manufacture driver as a matter of course for MythTv support

Worked out-of-the-box long time ago.
Recently there were some strange fluctuations with xorg intel driver (random xserver crashes), but it works.

Had to compile gspca driver separately.
It is not included into vanila linux kernel, but it has very good support in Debian.

There is jumping volume problem within alsa mixer.

Open source driver is very slow, even for regular desktop usage.

The card reader works fine, however the “integrated bluetooth” part does not show up at all (even in Windows Vista).
The issue is being investigated at Dell (I am not alone).

Drivers are loaded automagically. I haven’t actually tested it, but I see no reason for it not to work.

There is known mixer issue (audio volume is jumping when being changed by mouse wheel, multimedia keys or just up/down on mixer sliders) since April, looks like general problem somewhere in alsa layer.
