using ivman / hald for automouting
I can easily mount my iPod and access it with Amarok in my Gentoo System.
I don’t know what you mean with Apple Computer. But I also have an Apple Computer in my network and we have no problems so far.
Device is automatically detected, recognized and mounted if asked for. No problems were encountered at all.
