For good 3D acceleration nVidia proprietary drivers needed.
only Nvidia proprietary driver works on Mandriva Powerpack distribution.

For hardware 3D acceleration, proprietary NVidia drivers install required. Install is simple through pisi graphical or command line procedure (nvidia-glx, nvidia-kernel and nvidia-tools packages are needed). Final configuration of installed drivers requires invoking single cli command
#nvidia-xconfig
and for the sake of simplicity – reboot!
