Need firmware download

ubuntu provides the non-free firmware. On other distros, you may have to download it apart.

Requires http://fsam7440.sourceforge.net/ to turn wireless on and I think I also had to download firmware. Not too hard once you know what to do.

Works fine with some odd bugs…

Working PCI wireless cards on Gentoo Gentoo Base System release 1.12.9 GenuineIntel (kernel: 2.6.22-gentoo-r5-version_00) by landroni (5):

Works OK, but be sure to have a recent kernel (2.6.20 would be just OK) and the appropriate firmware installed.

firmware needed (included in ubuntu, but a problem when you compile your own kernel)
