Working network cards on Ubuntu 7.04 i386 (kernel: 2.6.20-15-386) by thibs (3):

I don’t know if it works out of the box now, but when I first installed my system (in 2003), I had to manually install the madwifi drivers to have my wireless connection working.

perfect with madwifi

Working network cards on Debian lenny/sid i386 (kernel: 2.6.22.5-cfs-v20.2) by flamy (-3):

Works after downloading and compiling sources from madwifi. Debian version of packaging is too old.

Support, especially of network-manager is flaky at best, usually able to connect to a wireless network only from the third try.

Doesn’t really work if the OS was suspended to ram or hibernated, restarting network-manager will not suffice, you’ll have to reboot the computer.
