Working network cards on Fedora Core 6 x86_64 (kernel: 2.6.19-1.2911.6.5.fc6) by milos (5):

Works with kernel > 2.6.20 (you need updated Fedora Core 6, with default kernel does not work)

Working network cards on Fedora 7 i386 (kernel: 2.6.22.5-76.fc7) by matmbl (5):

works but seems to have a problem working at full speed! e.g. Copying too the service works very fast (30-60MB/s), copying from the server is 100Mb speed (10MB/s). Copy from seems to improve if you also copy to the server while copying from it.

Will be investigating further or bang in a new NIC!

Installed a belkin gigabit nic which uses the same driver (r8169) and everything is fine. Seems there’s a problem with the bios/hardware issue with this m/board.
