Working sound cards on Mandriva Linux 2007.0 i586 (kernel: 2.6.17-5mdv) by NorthernDean (-3):

No microphone operation at all, and sound volume is low. Otherwise fine.

Works with snd_hda_intel (did not try an other driver).

Indeed, microphone works with 2.6.22-3mdv (alsa-drivers >= 1.0.14, will be included in Mandriva 2008.0) but wasn’t before…

it works work alsa drivers selecting PCM like first channel. but with up/down volumes key nothing happened.. to change volume i need to use kmix

Only the PCM volume is adjustable. Changing the master volume has no impact on the output at all.
