Working video cards in 2D on Ubuntu 7.04 i386 (kernel: 2.6.20-16-generic) by theboomboomcars (-3):

It works with 2D with the vesa driver, but doesn’t turn off the screen for power savings, the screen goes black but the light stays on. With the openchrome driver power management works well, but videos only work with xine.

With the vesa driver 3D does not work. With the openchrome dirver 3D works, but not with the 3D desktop, and is unstable.
