It work’s for most users — ipw2200 driver. WEP support, wpa_supplicant (WPA) support out of the box, but no Master mode possible
Needed to install net-wireless/ipw2200-firmware ebuild.
Works well on both B and G networks. WEP, WPA, and WPA2 supported using wpa_supplicant.
Notebook works only with certain wireless network cards found in the “white list” of the bios. Otherwise the notebook will not boot. This card works good.
Never any problems connecting, other than choosing wireless networks when I first modified this machine.
