i don't think the intel drivers implement 3D acceleration anyway i use the latest driver available and still don't get reasonable FPS on 3D applications

had to install 915resolution to patch video bios at boot-time to allow the screen native resolution (1400x1050)

Slow even with "intel" xorg driver.
