Use radeon or fglrx
with fglrx very good quality, a bit less with free/os radeon driver.
With fglrx, it forces some tricks to enable suspend stuff
Use radeon, or fglrx
I had to install the proprietary drivers, which is easy on ubuntu.
Using free driver. The proprietary driver works, but without compiste extensions.
Note that the free 3D acceleration is not very efficient (compiz is not perfectly fluid)
perfect !
3D operations are accelerated, Google Earth gets food fps.
2D operations like XVideo work, window drawing is fast, I haven’t tried Composite.
Out of the box good 2D accelleration and video performance. However HD content with 1920×1080 will not play smoothly. Everything else works great.
