Working sound cards on openSUSE 10.2 i586 (kernel: 2.6.18.8-0.5-default) by lars (-5):

I found some mention on hardware fora that it might work. However even with ALSA upgraded to 1.0.14 I have not been able to get sound working.

Working sound cards on openSUSE 10.3 i586 (kernel: 2.6.22.13-0.3-default) by lars (3):

I manually compiled alsa-1.0.15, and manually edited /etc/modprobe.d/sound
(option model=toshiba) was part of what made it work.

Working sound cards on Ubuntu 7.10 x86_64 (kernel: 2.6.22-14-generic) by javyer (3):

you must add this line:
options snd-hda-intel model=toshiba
to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base file
to get sound
