Only with V4L2
It works with the uvcvideo driver, which requires v4l2. Many applications still only support v4l1, but this is changing.
Model : OmniVision OV2640
You need use the UVC driver from : http://linux-uvc.berlios.de/
Download sources, make and make install
It works very good.
Skype works with it, as for aMSN and Kopete. The webcam has some issues with color, but I don’t know if the problem comes from the webcam or the UVC driver — i’ve not yet tested that on Vista.
Has worked, but doesn’t work right now. I put this laptop into hibernation before testing the webcam just now, so it’s possible it doesn’t work after coming out of hibernation.
Driver: uvcvideo
Works out of the box in recent Fedora (Fedora 10).
