Required Manufacturers firmware also gives a load error at daemon start which ALSA manages to correct. (guess)
dmesg firmware loads AOK. (2 X.fw )
Yamaha DS-1 PCI 0000:00:0c.0: firmware: requesting yamaha/ds1_dsp.fw
Yamaha DS-1 PCI 0000:00:0c.0: firmware: requesting yamaha/ds1e_ctrl.fw
However on restart alsa-utils services I get this error:
Setting up ALSA...warning: 'alsactl restore’ failed with error message 'Unknown hardware: “YMF724F” “SigmaTel STAC9704” “AC97a:83847605” “0×1073” “0×000d”
Hardware is initialized using a guess method’...done.
Note: It works fine 5X5 for general interface and music / midi etc. I have yet to exploit any “on chip” resources at this stage.
