I had to build nvidia-kernel for my kernel.
If I added the Driver “nvidia” to xorg.conf I got black screen because the nvidia driver don’t find my screen.
I use notebook: SONY VAIO VPCCW1S1E
But I use custom EDID from windows registry.
example:
Section “Device” Identifier “Configured Video Device” Driver “nvidia” Option “NoLogo” “True” Option “RegistryDwords” “PowerMizerEnable=0×1; PerfLevelSrc$ Option “ConnectedMonitor” “DFP-0” Option “CustomEDID” “DFP-0:/etc/X11/edid.raw” VendorName “NVIDIA Corporation”
EndSection
If I start X, KDE will work, but virtual-console will be black.
2D is perfect.
