This Hardware is detected by Linux Mint 8 (Helena) right out of the box though ndiswrapper is needed to get this hardware to to work. After installing the driver, using Linux Mint and/or Ubuntu, one needs to open a terminal and input:
'sudo gedit /etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf’ and change
[ifupdown]
managed=false
to
[ifupdown]
managed=true
Otherwise the hardware still won’t find any access points.
Outside of that it pretty much works, However it is pretty much limited with finding access points. It finds my Lynksys, and two other access points (one being a Qwest router), but that is it, a more Linux compatible card will find around ten other access points from the same location of my Desktop.
