Working sound cards on Fedora 8 i386 (kernel: 2.6.24.4-64.fc8) by usnay12345 (-3):

Headphones work, but the PC speaker does not work. Don’t know about microphone jack.

Working sound cards on Ubuntu 9.10 x86_64 (kernel: 2.6.31-16-generic) by Kimdino (-3):

I’ve had this soundcard in many different setups over the years & it has always worked flawlessly. So much so that I make a point of keeping it to move on to my next machine.

That is until I installed Ubuntu 9.10, where it is very grievious and, by looking at the Ubuntu forums, I’m far from the only one.

So, to summarise, highly recommended unless you have Ubuntu.
